What kinda craze are you?

I'm reminded of this youtube video Dave always love to sing along to... Something about "Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise crazy... Just be glad it's him not you!" It's actually kinda catchy. Annnnnnyhow - I have been wanting to blog about my newly remodeled bathroom and brag about how wonderfully handy my man is, but sharing the photos is impossible as I cannot locate the cord the camera attaches to the computer with.

Upon opening my desk drawer one would find a myriad of cords - but the one to the camera - MIA. Or rather, MII (missing in inaction).

Point being, Melissa Pratt is cord less crazed - just be glad it's her not you.

Homosexuals Having a Field Day with CA Schools (I'm so terrified I might cry)

"It really is what we call a teachable moment," argued Liz Jaroflow, the interim director of a local California charter school. This is how she and other administrators rationalize the decision to take a class of impressionable first graders on a field trip to their teachers' lesbian "wedding." At the suggestion of a parent, Jaroflow herded the five- and six-year-olds onto a bus during school hours last Friday and surprised Erin Carder and Kerri McCoy at City Hall. Now the unorthodox excursion is putting San Francisco's school district at the center of a national debate on counterfeit marriage. When asked what educational value the trip had, Jaroflow pointed to the "historical significance of same-sex marriage" and "civil rights." "...[I]t's not controversial..." she told reporters. "It's certainly an issue I would be willing to put my job on the line for." Whether or not the district will ask her to do so is unclear. According to the Chronicle, Jaroflow did ask for parents' permission, and two families opted out. Across California, however, voters are in disbelief. The trip, a disgraceful abuse of school time, is just a preview of the indoctrination to come if Proposition 8 fails. Ironically, this happened just days after "No on 8" launched ads last week claiming same-sex "marriage" would not be taught in schools, no matter what the outcome on November 4. Not only will it be taught, it's obvious that the lessons are already underway! On the Chronicle's site, editors posted a video of these first-graders celebrating their teachers' big day. View the video for a snapshot of what homosexual "marriage" will mean for children across America.

The Wedding...

Notice how he can't take his eyes off of her - she is stunning :)
Whoa buddy... Church appropriate kiss, please!
Contrary to this photographic story - samo had a wonderful time playing all day.
Sorry - Addison is not big on looking at the photographer!

So Rachel and Mark finally did it, and now they're off to Hawaii. And although Rachel had the most talented photographers EVER there - I have a couple pics to hold everyone over til the "real" ones are ready! Congrats again to the beautiful couple - God Bless You :)
By the way, for all you expert grubbers out there, the food was AWESOME! And they even had a lil candy shop table, with Jelly Bellys - my FAVE!

In with the NEW

Most people probably didnt think it would take this long for me to get a car... And actually, I got it on August 31st - so I went for 26 days sharing the Grand Prix with Dave. (Which of course proved disasterous!) Ok, not really - but it was pretty difficult sharing a car between his work hours, my late hours, the 45 minute commute, and parent responsibilities.

In the end, I got exactly what I wanted, at a BETTER price than I expected. Beautiful interior, perfect A/C and heat, mach sound system, 5 speed manual tranny. One detail I would change, the color. Dave now calls me "HotRod" - to which I reply, "That's right, RED HOT!"

Back to Attack!

Ok - I admit I have been MIA for a little while, but I cant even begin to explain the time I have spent on my career these past 8 weeks. It's unbelievable! All that time invested though is starting to pay off, and I am getting a little more comfortable with delegating to trusted parties.
So - I'm back - ready to start sharing with you all once again how I get seriouslyblessed everyday! :)

And I apologize if I make spelling errors - I know how annoying they are... I'll try to be sure to edit.

IDK

I dont really have one thing that stood out to me this weekend - but I think that's because there's a lot going onright now!

Went to Hurricane Harbor Friday with Jen, Heather, and Taylor. It was HOT!

Then met up with Jen White and Sharlene Duzick for our first live reunion meeting. Productive!

Worked Saturday morning... Didnt feel well, a lil belly ache. Had date night with Dave - yummy steaks and we saw "Drillbit Taylor". Of course I fell asleep. I feel that sleeping is how I can best use my quality time with the man I love!

Sunday morning went to church... great seats thanks to Jen and Faisal! Saw the whole gang, always a blessing. Ran into a cheesecake friend! :) Walked Deets to Dairy Queen with Jen. Yum.
Scored some new things at the Going out of biz sale at Linen's N Things. Yoga to finish it all off.

Overall - pretty good weekend. :)

Now starts the final hours of waiting for the new car!

Out with the OLD...

Yesterday I sold the Explorer. When I say that I am seriously blessed, know that I am not exaggerating. With gas prices being what they are, it is amazing that anyone would even WANT to own an SUV (which was the primary reason I wanted to get rid of it!)... But whats more is not that this young man named Zack wanted the SUV, but that he was the first prospect to call and come look at it. Left me a $200 deposit, then 4 days later (just as he promised) came back with the rest of the money to give me FULL ASKING PRICE. It's SO amazing how trusting God with finances really pays off!

So now I'm waiting on the dealer to find me the car I want. Look for a blog titled "In with the NEW" coming soon!

Poll

And one more thing! How come everyone of us seem to think that nourishment from food is more impportant than being fed by the Holy Spirit? Think I'm kidding... look at my poll results right there to the left. We can do better. At least I know I can.

Things change

After coming off of a week filled with stress, I am happy to report that this one is way more exciting! Sunday's sermon was the best one I have ever heard in my life, then saw Need to Breathe at Day7, no having to get up way early everyday, I got the whole house cleaned this weekend, and all the "important" things to do this week are after work responsibilities - which means it is things that I actually REALLY love. Oh, and all the people I have contacted thus far regarding the 10 year high school reunion seem to be excited and eager to come... so hopefully it wont be a flop. Flop reminds me that Dave calls me a "floozy" for fun. I love him - and he has been so great lately. Oh - and my makeover, in its 2nd or 3rd week, I lost count, is going great. And my dog loves me. Isnt that everything?!

Perspective

Ok - this really is SUCH a busy week. And Im so happy that it's about to wind down a bit...
Summer Camps are almost over (Friday) and then it's back to my normal work schedule. The house is a mess, and I have no energy to clean it up by the time I get home.
I wish I could stay home today, have a maid come, go and lay out at the beach, then come home to a home cooked meal. Instead, Im off to work, then back home this afternoon to a filthy home to clean, then to cook dinner (in my hot kitchen with no A/C) then a lil rest afterwards.

Wow - that's pretty selfish. Let me try again.
Thank you Lord for blessing me with my wonderful job, our lovely home, a roof over my head, food in my fridge, and your love and peace. Your blessings abound - Thank You.

I've been camping...

So I have been camping non-stop for a couple weeks now - and have another week and a half to go. I know what you're thinking - camping with a computer!? What?!

Well first we went as a family up to Mt. Whitney for a week of trees and trout. It was so SO awesome! My neice Tay came along, and she and Sam had some great bonding time... Also along with us was Dave's friend Chris and his two boys. Yes, real camping - no showers, no electricity. Us, the tent, a snow melt stream to bathe in. Good times!

And since I have been back, I have been teaching a summer camp class at work called Study Skills and Organization. I totally forgot how much I love the feeling of helping kids learn. The boys I have are great, and they all participate (and laugh at my lame jokes!) all the time. My prayer is that these guys will learn things that will carry them into many successes.

One and Only

The newest addition to my list of loves - Deets the Pit Bull puppy! I so adore this lil guy!

He came to us just a couple of weeks ago, as he was chasing the tail of a jogger and was diverted by my beauty. As I sat on my front porch watching the jogger, I looked down to see that the lil pup had come to lick my toes. Seriously though, why wouldn't he? That dude was all sweaty - and here I was all realxed and clean- I'd rather lick me too! Fortunately for me, nobody has claimed him...

In the past couple of weeks he has brought SO many smiles to our household. He really has a lot of personality - and it's irresistable! He got his pup shots, went camping with us, came home and went to the groomer, gets home made dog feed at every feeding, and was enrolled in the K-9 Academy today. I am so very VERY blessed by this lil bundle of bull!

I love Farmers!

Tithing is not for the leary. After a serious review of my finances, both income and debts, I have been really trying to live out Romans 13:8 {Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has obeyed the law.}

I know this is going to sound so lame - but I had FREE Farmer Boys today! God just keeps on pouring into my cup... and it is now my duty to use it according to his will. This month alone He blessed me with an unexpected refund from the IRS (on top of my stimulus!) - and then tonight free dinner. Unbelievable as this sounds - tonight I stopped by the FB drive-thru on my way to small group. Ordered what I wanted, went to the window to pay.... The guy tells me that their computers are down so they are buying me dinner. NO - I AM NOT KIDDING! Can you say that the IRS has ever sent you extra money ON PURPOSE or that at the drive thru window they give you your dinner for free? Be obedient. {Why do you call me 'Lord, 'Lord, and do not do what I say? Luke 6:46}

Reality

On Myspace I feel older than everyone and on Facebook I'm too confused on how to even navigate my OWN page --- that being said I'm back to blogging! For those of you who are wondering, my old "Perfect Peanut" blogging days are over.
